AXIS
,

Community AXIS Enterprises Inc. (CAEI) is a not for profit organisation based in Horsham and trading as AXIS Employment and AXIS Worx.

For over 20 years our organisation has successfully delivered government funded disability services to people with disability in Regional Victoria. CAEI was the first organisation to be funded in the Grampians Region to provide employment assistance to people with disability in the open labour market.

The past three years has seen CAEI expand significantly. In April 2011 our organisation amalgamated with AXIS Worx, formerly The Wool Factory, an Australian Disability Enterprise located in Horsham, Victoria. CAEI is contracted by the Australian Government Department of Families, Housing, Community Service and Indigenous Affairs to deliver the Disability Employment Assistance Program at AXIS Worx. Five separate businesses operate within AXIS Worx: E-waste, Woodwork, Packaging, Catering and Retail. There are 43 Supported Employees with differing levels of permanent disability employed at AXIS Worx.

In 2012 AXIS Employment successfully tendered to provide Disability Employment Service across regional Victoria and South Australia. The expansion of our Disability Employment Services into the Ballarat, Bendigo, Mildura, Swan Hill and Mount Gambier areas is the most momentous milestone in our long history of providing quality employment services to people with disability, illness and injury. It reflects the Government’s recognition of the quality outcomes we provide to Job Seekers and Employers and their faith in us to replicate this service in other areas.

CAEI is certified to both the International Quality System ISO 9001-2008 and the National Standards for Disability Services. Our organisation is dedicated to continuous improvement. Underpinning this commitment to quality are our recruitment policies which ensure we employ professional, qualified and empathetic staff to assist our most important assets – our Job Seekers, Employers, Supported Employees and Customers.
