David Willersdorf: 2017 Soul & Blues Tour

David Willersdorf is an Australian singer/songwriter. His songs have a decidedly vintage flavour hearkening back to many of the singer/songwriters of the 70’s where songs were melody-driven and lyrics were heart-felt.

David’s most recent offering is FIRE THIS LOVE, an album which he recorded at Sputnik Sound studio in Nashville, Tennessee with producer and artist Rick Price (Not a Day Goes By, Walk Away Renee, Heaven Knows). He was joined by some of the worlds best musicians, alongside two Grammy Award-Winning engineers in Vance Powell (Jack White, Arctic Monkeys, Wolfmother, The Raconteurs, Chris Stapleton) and Richard Dodd (Dixie Chicks, Tom Petty).

As a live performer, the combination of David’s contagious songs alongside his highly engaging, powerful yet velvety vocal performances have seen great success amongst concertgoers.

“[David’s] music makes our whole family smile and laugh and sing… together.”
— Grant, a concertgoer.

David grew up singing and writing Church music. His father has been called “Australia’s Billy Graham” and would regularly bring international gospel artists down to Australia for his large events. David’s mother is a singer and passed on a love of music to David from an early age.

David’s earlier gospel songs have been recorded and sung by a raft of artists across the world, including Grammy Award winners and nominees.

A marked departure from his previous gospel songs, David’s musical journey has now taken him to write and perform his own mainstream songs about life, love and adventures.

“I found myself writing songs about the grit and inspiration of life,” says David. “I feel like I’m writing songs which are very authentic to me as a person and as an artist.”

David resides on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland, Australia when he isn’t out touring or chasing his other passion: fine coffee.
