Peter Moore is a former South Australian legal practitioner, admitted in 1977, and has worked as a lawyer and archivist, a publisher and editor, as well as an adult educator and tour guide. A member of the Historical Society of SA since its foundation, he has lectured and published in both local and legal history. This paper is part of a series he is delivering as he completes a full history of the SA legal profession, 1837 to 1945.

Open Day is Sunday May 6 between 1 and 4 and the group is open every Tuesday in May between half past 1 and 5 at Reidy Park Centre, O’Halloran Terrace, Mount Gambier.

A new photographic exhibition has opened at the Port MacDonnell Community Complex Gallery. “Around the Bay” brings together 13 of Port MacDonnell and district’s talented photographers and features a varied range of subject matter including portraiture, sea creatures and animals, abstracts and coastal landscapes.
Entry to the “Around the Bay” photographic exhibition is free and access to the Gallery is via the Port MacDonnell Community Complex main entrance.
The exhibition is open to the public 7 days a week during normal Community Complex opening hours; Monday to Thursday between 9 and 5, Fridays between 9and 8 and weekends between 10 and 4.

The City of Mount Gambier has Influenza Vaccinations available for those 65 and over, as well as those with chronic illness.
The vaccination sessions are held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month between 9 and 11, and again between half past 4 and a quarter to 6.
